Kyle and Sarah enjoy instructing, judging, coaching and competing in West Coast Swing on a full time basis across the country. They are known for their unique style of funk and groove. THE DEEJAYS(The men behind the music) Dance Jam Productions welcomes 3 of DC's most popular DJ's for Champion's weekend.
	Eric Jacobson - Washington, DC. The area's newest up-and-coming West Coast Swing DJ. He recently debuted nationally at MAD JAM for an audience of hundreds of dancers. Eric and his dance partner Helen have placed and won several amateur level national dance competitions. They teach swing dancing to a group of fellow students at the Catholic University of America.
	Figgy Jones - Baltimore, MD. Hand dance competitor, dance champion and long time DeeJay. He is host to a growing group of new hand dancers weekly on Thursdays at the Promenade in Baltimore. Figgy represented the hand dancers  on the DJ panel at this year's MAD JAM, NADC and at the Easterns this year.
	Dave Moldover - Rockville, MD. Longtime favorite DJ at westcoast swing dances in the DC area and accomplished amateur dance champion. Dave can be found dancing and playing dance music at venues all over the area and many Fridays at Cherry Hill park. In addition Dave contributes to the growth and unity of DC's dance community by publishing "DC's Dance News" and organizing several  large annual events. www.dancejamproductions.com

About this event - Over the last several years many excellent dance events have been hosted at Cherry Hill Park. None has ever drawn a bigger crowd than the turnout for Kyle & Sarah's dance weekends. Last year over 220 dancers came out to watch these 2 blow us away with their spectacular dancing in Saturday night's show. The dance party that follows is always excellent and attracts dancers from many surrounding communities. Kyle & Sarah are the worlds most sought after swing dance experts. They travel frequently to share their energy and passionate understanding of west coast swing with communities all over the country. We are fortunate to have them returning to the DC area for this special event. Saturday night's social dancing will be briefly interrupted to entertain you with a 1st class professional dance show featuring a variety of professional dance champions performing different styles of dancing. Plan to attend the workshops. They are loaded with current moves and styling from the cutting edge of this dance's evolution. You will learn valuable techniques and concepts that enhance your understanding of this fun dance.

Location Information
Cherry Hill park's conference center has a gorgeous 3600' floating hardwood floor (one of the largest in the DC area). Several smaller rooms accommodate meetings and space for private lessons. The ballroom is non smoking, located near the intersection of interstates 95 & 495. Safe and abundant free parking right outside. State of the art DJ sound equipment is provided by Dance Jam Productions for Champion's Weekend.

Lightning Jack & Jill Rules
All competitors must be 18 years old or older, register and pay the entry fee by 9pm Friday night. Professionals may not enter this contest. For this purpose a professional is someone who makes a significant income teaching dance. In the prelim, couples dance with several randomly chosen partners to music picked by our DJ while judges determine who will dance in the finals. Competitors are judged as an individual in the prelim based on timing, technique and teamwork. The names of finalists will be posted Friday night. In the final round Saturday night, an equal number of leaders and followers are randomly paired, then scored as a couple. Finalists will dance 2 short songs while judges determine the winners. We will use relative placement method to tally the judges scores. The 1st place couple wins passes to swing fling. 1st-3rd place win custom plaques. All finalists will have points recorded in the World Swing dance council registry at the intermediate level.
